The new series of updates is called Multiverse and each one will broaden the entire Out There universe, adding all kinds of new content and features.
Each update will be a 'Multiverse' of its own, with the first one being called Cemetery Gates. Each one of these updates will add some of the basic stuff you would find within your general type of game update, such as bug fixes, UI improvements, and so on. They will also bring a bunch of new content, game modes, and other features as well.
Here is what you can expect to find when Multiverse I: Cemetery Gates arrives:

This is mainly due to the fact that the developers believe it would change the whole spirit of the game itself. TwitterThere’s no shortage of cute puzzleplatformers from indie studios out there but once in a while one comes along that offers something a little different. Chariot is one such game and has just been release today onto Nvidia's Shield Android TV.
The rather odd setup here is that a princess and her suitor have to get the remains of their dead king to his place of burial, picking up riches along the way that he can be entombed with. The king’s body currently rests on a chariot, which the heroes of the piece have to transport through the various platformfilled levels while trying to fend off looters. It’s a strange story but one that lends itself to some genuinely comedic moments, mostly due to the fact that the king’s ghost makes regular appearances, criticizing the player’s ineptitude and also revealing details about his somewhat shady character. So we can put a tick in the scriptingvoice acting check box right from the start.
Navigating the environments is a straightforward yet challenging process. Players can push the chariot along flat areas, push it up small steps and, using a handy rope they can also pull it over obstacles. Bigger steps require you to use the chariot first as a means to reach higher ground, then to toss down the rope and drag the chariot up to your level. It’s a simple play mechanic but excellent level design makes for quite a variety of headscratching situations. Adding to your problems are various looting creatures that are out to steal the treasure you’ve collected. These come in various forms bats and penguins to name two and have different attack patterns so the princess’s sword comes in very handy in these situations. As a single player game it is great fun and would succeed on its merits in this area alone.
But, the game takes on an altogether more entertaining aspect when two players cooperate to complete the levels. One player takes the princess, the other her suitor and together, as well as making their way through the 25 levels to the end, having both characters in play allows them to reach areas that were inaccessible to the single player. By using two ropes and utilizing the game’s realistic physics the pair can swing to new areas and discover bonuses such as blueprints to craft gadgets.
Gadgets can vary from simple pegs that can temporarily tether the chariot to a surface, a lamp that helps you navigate dark areas to bombs that aid in taking out the looters.
As a singleplayer experience, Chariot is a visually pleasing, amusingly scripted and smartly designed platformer. TwitterWe briefly touched on Back to the Future franchise's upcoming birthday the other day in our post about Telltale Games' impromptu Q A session on Twitter. Unfortunately none of the Back to the Future stuff talked about was heading to mobile. The good news is that there is actually some Back to the Future goodness coming to mobile to celebrate its anniversary, but in the form of a new themed event in Jetpack Joyride.
Today Halfbrick announced that they have pushed out a new update themed around Back to the Future. It's actually a pretty big update with an entirely new game mode to play through, two new vehicles I wonder what those could possibly be, three new costumes, and much more. What's even better is that all of these things can be accessed for free during the entire month of October.
Players will be trying to collect Flux Capacitors, collecting points, and going through time in the new game mode, which takes place in Hill Valley 2015. The new game mode is a sort of time trial one. The Flux Capacitors you collect go to extending the time which is counting down. Each one you collect adds an additional 5 seconds back onto the clock. You have to be very careful though as any collision while you are playing will result in a 10second deduction penalty.
These Flux Capacitors are pretty important besides adding time to your clock. These items are also used to unlock three of the new characters added in this update: Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and Biff Tannen. Whenever you unlock one of these new characters, you will be able to then use them as an outfit in the normal version of Jetpack Joyride.
Earlier we mentioned that access to all of this new content is available for free for the month of October. After that, if you want to gain permanent access to it, you have the option of buying the Future Bundle for 9.99 via an IAP. This will grant you access permanently to the Amped Up ’85 Guitar Jetpack, the hoverboard, DeLorean Time Machine, and Hill Valley 2015 background.
For those of you curious why there is a sudden influx of Back to the Future related news in the world right now, it is because the franchise has turned 30 years old but in Back to the Future II, the date Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel to is October 21st, 2015. So we've almost come full circle. The Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy DVD and Bluray will be released on October 5th, 2015. So this year and month are pretty big for the franchise.
