The Denver Broncos may be without safety Rahim Moore for the remainder of the season following the defensive back, who is in his third year, underwent emergency surgery on Monday after he was diagnosed with lateral compartment syndrome in his lower left leg, as per Joan Niesen and Mike Klis of The Denver Post.

Moore 23. who was 23 years old, left the team's victory on Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs with Mut 23 coins a leg injury described as "serious," although specifics and a schedule were not available at the time of the game. It was reported on the 22nd of November that The Denver Post broke down the details of what lateral chamber syndrome means:


Compartment syndrome occurs when a muscle, which is in the compartment between two fasciae, the connective tissue surrounding muscles - starts to swell. The swelling increases and then continues, eventually limiting blood flow to the muscles which could lead to nerve damage.


One day removed from surgery The Broncos report that they aren't certain of when they will be able to recover Moore and are contemplating placing him on the injury reserve.


Most infamous for allowing a score late to Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones in the playoffs that ended up removing the Broncos from playoff contention, Moore had emerged as a solid defense for  his team during 2013.
