The popularity in WoW Classic has surprised even Blizzard which WOW WOTLK Classic Gold was thinking that the game would appeal only to a few core players. The executive producer John Hight told P2Pah: "It certainly was a surprise to us."


He explained: "When we put out Classic we were unsure, is this going to be a big deal or not? We kind of thought, 'Our core fans are sure to love that, therefore let's do this for them.' And then it was a huge community of WoW players. Much larger than our modern WoW community. This surprised us," Hight said. "We discovered, 'Oh, my gosh, we have to support two communities. How do we accomplish this?'"


"Suffice this to state, I'm sure we hold records for the two largest MMOs that exist on Earth. Therefore, it's a massive community. Much bigger than we thought it would be."

World of Warcraft Patch 7.2 The Tomb of Sargeras has been live for a few weeks currently, and even as the team working on development continues to refine its experience (a set of patches released this week) the following achievement remains: It is the biggest update that isn't expansion-related in Blizzard's MMO.


In the days prior to 7.2 going live, we talked with Travis Day (senior producer), Ryan Shwayder (senior designer and content supervisor) and Morgan Day (senior designer as also Dungeon and Raid design lead) each about their hopes for the Tomb of Sargeras as well as the creation of content for the game.

Travis Day: Things are exceptionally smooth at present. We're really feeling good the situation is at a good point from a production standpoint. I began my initial planning of this and the complete patches schedule in Legion during February or March...Part of our efforts is to get the process in order early and to ensure we are able to meet the timeframe we've been trying to achieve in order to release the content. And that's so we can avoid any crazy crunches , or anything else along these related to.


I've talked with the team on this before and it appears that you guys buy WOTLK Gold have the ability to keep up with this insane amount of content without destroying yourself nor your group. How have you been able to maintain this pace?
