I've not played any MMORPGs sincethen, which has resulted in OSRS gold my eternal shame and loss. The demands of real life are immense and I do not have time to allow them to entice me. Out of all games, they're the most demanding, with numerous levels to conquer and things to gather. Some have even died as a result of long sessions of RuneScape's older but more well-known sibling, World of Warcraft that is what makes it an eerie game.
Today, you'll typically find me gaming Quake as well as Half-Life or playing Team Fortress 2 - games that are a force to behold leave a mark and disappear quickly. It's wonderful to play games that I enjoy and put aside quickly, rather than worrying about how many pieces of wood I have in my inventory , or what I'm likely to fish during the next session.
However, I miss a lot of the never-ending grind and long-term commitment (and suffering) associated with RuneScape. It's now in its third version with the name 'RuneScape 3' (from 2013) with new content and a graphic revamp, there's a hint of hope that I might go back to it and see how it's doing, like I would an old acquaintance.
Publisher Jagex has announced earlier in the year that RuneScape will be released from early access on mobile in the summer. Beginning today, anyone is able to play this long-running MMORPG for free on iOS as well as Android.
RuneScape is completely free to play, but members have access to additional adventures, skills and additional features. You can test the membership at no cost with a the seven-day trial. Mobile versions allow cross-play and cross-progression on PC which means you can switch between the two platforms and then continue from where you started.
It's important to note that this doesn't Old School RuneScape, a version that's based on a build that was released in 2007. It's available for download on iOS and Android since the year 2018. It's the complete RuneScape that Jagex is constantly upgrading for cheap RS gold the past 20 years.
