We've always believed in that RuneScape has a lot of potential from bertramuzi's blog

It was released earlier in the month and even the Early Access version proved this formula is popular with RPG fans OSRS Gold, having been downloaded over 600,000 times across Steam and the two major online mobile apps stores. It was way above and beyond Malcolm's initial expectations when he started his project. Naturally, he was hoping that his game would be successful but it wasn't a 'endgame to think about.

"Luckily the excitement that drove those first months remains with me over the course of development. And being the only person to work with Jagex directly on this project is an absolute dream come true," he says. "I didn't think I would ever receive the support of the very studio which inspired me in the beginning.

Making the jump from a hobby to a fan-project was certainly scary and yet, when I look back at my current situation, and the support I've received in establishing Games by Malcs as an emerging studio, it's certainly paid off for the most successful."

Despite the apparent connection that existed between Melvor Idle and RuneScape, and the direct involvement of Jagex in the game, the publisher decided to maintain the game as an original IP, rather than launch it as an officially-licensed RuneScape spin-off. This was in part an acknowledgement of the fact that Malcolm had achieved where Jagex itself had failed.

"We actually did look at the idea of creating an inactive RuneScape game a few years ago, with RuneScape: Idle Adventures," Pfeiffer says. "In Alpha, we stopped development in order to concentrate all our energy on core RuneScape games.

We've always believed in that RuneScape has a lot of potential in the idle game space. Melvor Idle proves that RuneScape is a game that can help you create an amazing idle game. But Melvor Idle stands up on its own merits buy rs3 gold, which is why we decided to stay in line with the concept of it that Brendan had when he started developing this game."
