However, not only will the game time-bound, but only one golden hat is available for each participant with RS Gold. Just like their predecessors from 2001 Jagex claims of the golden hats that "after the cut-off date they will never be in circulation again!"
The new item's impact on the game's economy and decreases the value of existing party hats or becomes an higher-end item is yet to be determined. Jagex will be celebrating this day in the same way however, by transforming the game's Grand Exchange location into "a Golden Party Hat winter wonderland".
The golden hat is the most awaited element (sorry) to RuneScape's year-long celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary. Launching alongside the returning partyhat event, this is the fourth and last part of the anniversary quest, Once Upon a Time, that runs throughout the time.
Fittingly titled Finale The chapter is described as "the ending of an adventure that explores RuneScape's past, present, and future and ends the story's journey to an end for Relomia the quest's antagonist."
Finale will require players to visit three locations - Black Knight's Fortress The World Gate, and the island of Kami-Shima - which might provide glimpses into possible futures. The completion of the chapter will reward the players "four Quest points, a new magical T5 dice with Cheap RS Gold.
The final reward track unlock during April's Quest Point Caravan, a medium XP lamp,"Relomia's Shadow Rips Home Teleport's cosmetic Override Two Treasure Hunter keys" and "one additional surprise to be discovered".
