Why so many OSRS gamers Appear to be more hostile to RS3 players
Or have I just had worse than typical adventures as a
OSRS gold player? I have even been encouraged by friends to quit playing RS3 and play OSRS. They almost seem offended when I tell them that I want to stay with RS3. Been that way since the launch of OSRS. Just since most OS players that played with said combat implementation. Resentment in the change. That is understandable, but. It has been a very long time, but a lot people lost several hundreds or even thousands of hours of play time in addition to Runescape we grew upon. So for a few, the resentment runs deep.
I think that it stems from RuneScape being among the most successful games in the world pre EOC / wilderness removal etc.. There's a LOT of people who had a great deal of hatred towards Jagex for ruining Runescape they loved, and almost everyone quit. When OSRS came around it was basically an admission that Jagex was wrong, and the fact that oldschool has become so much bigger than the main Runescape match proves that theory to many men and women. People despise what Jagex did to RS3 and oldschool existing fuels which anger.
I see. Thank you. Jagex should have done things differently. Introduced EOC as an improvement or something rather. Yeah I mean I guess in the end of the day people get both today so there's no need to wonder. It will make me wonder exactly how incredible Runescape would be when they never moved the RS3 course and spent the last 10+ years adding more content rather, but the staff updates we get due to the manner OSRS is built makes me very glad it went this way.
The two matches are worlds apart now. Both are good though! MTX is at full swing (mostly cosmetics though, so maybe not too bad). I don't like the notion of cover to win, but at the exact same time I recognize that it has its benefits too. It keeps membership cost low and provides
old school runescape buy gold greater income for their small business. I've also never needed to pay for membership for several years, due to buying bonds with my in-game wealth! EOC has its flaws, but I think it's pretty awesome overall. There are a lot. It is very interactive and that's what I like. It seems just like RNG isn't a huge factor in order to perform well.
