In a word, with no massive improvements, no. TERA has adequate battle, and that's no doubt one of the strongest selling points the sport offers, but it has got a lot more that needs to be ironed out in order to be on par with other console MMO names such as Neverwinter, Elder Scrolls Online, and Final Fantasy XIV. When being ported to a console so much later, it should not FEEL this archaic.
Final Fantasy XIV came out in 2010, closed in 2012, and has been revamped in 2013 and still feels fresh to this day.TERA hasn't gone through some of this, so there is simply no reason this game ought to feel that bad. It feels less like RuneScape gold a serious attempt to be on a console and much more like a last-minute money grab before the game goes offline.
Starting my journey in the console edition of TERA, I instantly remembered one big issue I had with this match previously -- that the girls are incredibly hypersexualized. With the exception of the Human Sorcerer (who has a more than gratuitous amount of cleavage hanging out), the majority of the female characters are wearing next to nothing -- some wearing what resembles lingerie, yet thus revealing that what most folks would believe lingerie is more concealing than what these women are wearing.
I'm certainly no prude, but when I have to play with this game after folks have gone to bed since female characters are wearing nipple tassels and a thong as"armor", that is not just embarrassing but insulting to the women in check it my home who might chance to see me enjoying it. The guys look pretty cool, but they are not strutting about in codpieces and small pieces of"armor" that barely pay for their dangly parts.
