Canada stocks lower at close of OSRS Gold trade; S&PTSX Composite down 0.02%Investing Canada stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Clean Technology and Mining sectors led shares lower.At the close in Toronto, the S&PTSX Composite lost 0.02%.The best performers of the session on the S&PTSX Composite were Centerra Gold Inc.

TO:GTE declined 4.24% or 0.160 points to end at 3.610 and Canadian Pacific Railway Limited TO:CP was down 4.12% or 8.97 points to 208.80.Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 768 to 680 and 168 ended unchanged.

Shares in Centerra Gold Inc. TO:CG rose to Buy OSRS Gold 52week highs; rising 3.32% or 0.25 to 7.78. The S&PTSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&PTSX Composite options, was up 2.02% to 13.13.Gold for August delivery was up 0.19% or 2.30 to 1188.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.
