TO:BIN, which fell 4.23% or 1.48 points to trade at 33.49 at the close. Hudson's Bay Company TO:HBC declined 3.25% or 0.83 points to end at 24.69 and Empire Company Ltd TO:EMPa was down 2.87% or 2.57 points to 86.90.Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 733 to 721 and 180 ended unchanged.
The S&PTSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&PTSX Composite options, was down 7.41% to 13.62.Gold for August delivery was up 0.41% or 4.90 to 1193.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.89% or 1.14 to hit 61.34 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.
