How Diablo Immortal looks and feels is dependent on Diablo IV Gold the version you're playing, whether it's the full release version on iOS/Android, or the beta open on PC. (Your saved data syncs between the two, so there's no need to commit to one or the other.)

On mobile, the game boasts impressive graphics and strong performance. But, you'll need a quite powerful phone to play it efficiently. My Pixel 4a was a bit slow. the game lagged and chugged occasionally, and the machine was extremely hot. It's also difficult to keep in the loop of all the action with such a small display in particular when you need to target special abilities. This can be alleviated by playing with an iPad and using an appropriate controller. However, it's also possible to just play with a PC.

The PC version is still not really up to snuff however. It's still a mobile title on the screen too big, from its low resolution to its blurred textures. Animations for non-player characters are unreal, especially in how they play. However, the visual issues outweigh the gameplay issues. Pathfinding is a mess Rewards don't always load well; and, most important of all, your attack button may occasionally stop working, and nothing short of restarting the game can make it work again. Imagine the fun when you're playing an intense dungeon run.

On the other hand, the sound is up with the standard Diablo sound with some pleasant atmospheric background music and plenty of decent voice acting.

I'm not averse to Diablo Immortal, but I'm sure that some players are going to. It's an insignificant game within a rich and storied series and the F2P mechanics are just as intrusive as they look. However, if (and this is a huge "if") you manage to manage to overcome this, you'll find a rock solid game underneath which offers satisfying gameplay and plenty of diverse opportunities to explore.

If you've not played the Diablo series prior to now, this is not the best place to start. I'd suggest Diablo III instead, which is available to play absolutely free on PC. For Diablo gamers, Immortal is at least worth checking out, but be aware that the game will take up a lot of your time, or, in the best case scenario it will take a significant amount of your money.

The Diablo franchise is in a strange state in the present. Diablo Immortal has been a soaring financial growth for Blizzard however Diablo's popularity due to its questionable, potentially unsustainable monetization. Diablo 4 has looked impressive in trailers for gameplay and the like, though many players have expressed concern it'll resemble Diablo's microtransactions. Blizzard has tried to assure fans about Diablo 4's microtransactions, but we won't be able to cheap Diablo IV Items know how the system will work until the game is officially released.
