Numerous features of quality-of life have been modified. Players can now toggle off the tooltip that compares items and also have the ability to toggle item names on or off at the push of a button. The game's automap has had its colors tweaked to aid in readability as well. It is also possible to add an in-game timer, if they choose to do so.
Blizzard claims that load times overall will be quicker post-Alpha, and that characters will not be spawned in hostile environments until the game has full loaded "preventing gamers from becoming injured or attacked during loading screens."
Players will experience the changes coming for Diablo 2: Resurrected soon because the beta for the game is due to be released in August. Those who preorder Diablo 2 on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation will be able to access an early-access beta, with an open beta for those platforms coming shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, it looks like the beta will not be available for those who want to play it on Nintendo Switch.
