I think the fact that we have these IPs that contain these stories, time spans or any other story about games that they have -- I consider it to WOTLK Classic Gold be an asset. I don't see that as a problem. I believe the ability as well as the desire to create new things is equally important, and we've proven that it's possible by launching World of Warcraft , and we'll continue to prove it in the near future.
A first-person shooter inspired by StarCraft appears to have turned into Blizzard's white whale. There was a report recently of a project which was an in-person shooter in the StarCraft universe being pulled, and then, of course, the game was StarCraft Ghost. Is that idea something that you'd like to continue exploring?I'm not sure, but one of the things that I'd like you to know is that there has been some recent stories that have been focusing on games we haven't taken action on, but internally, we have been aware that 50% of the games we initiate actually launch.
This is why the fact we're still not moving forward with the game we're working on or this one is a sign that Blizzard is running as normal. I'm pretty sure that in the majority of games we've played haven't shipped due to reasons of some kind Most people do not even know their names outside of Blizzard. The games don't get lots of interest.
This is just part of normal Blizzard being Blizzard, frankly, when we assess games and decide which games will advance and which ones aren't likely to progress. I'm a huge StarCraft fan and I'm eagerly awaiting new games from that universe. However, I believe it's an integral part to the creativity process. The creative process isn't linear. It's very complex.
Fans are looking for many more StarCraft games. While I'm a huge StarCraft fan, also want more StarCraft games. Fans would like to see more World of Warcraft games. I'm a fan, I would like to see more World of Warcraft games. Fans are always looking for new IPs. I'm one too.
Final question: Given the popularity with World of Warcraft and now of Classic Are there any plans to investigate console options for World of Warcraft ? When it first came out there weren't many successful MMOs on consoles, but nowadays we have World Warcraft V as well as a few other. This seems like the ideal moment to explore this possibility. Is that something that you're interested in?
This is a wonderful question. As a player, I'm aware when it comes to games the camera and controls are crucial to any type gameplay experience. What are the cameras? What are the controls? Also, when I think of World of Warcraft , it was originally designed to be a keyboard and a mouse experience.
In other words, if consider the amount of abilities you have--for example, your classes will have 50 skills at level 60. if you think about the number of items that you have an inventory and just how the UI functions, as if it was designed for the experience of a keyboard.
I think that the popularity of Classic and the enthusiasm for different platforms to play WoW indicates that people are interested in the world, people are curious about the game buy WOTLK Gold . We've been discussing this regularly for over a decade. Personally, I would say that if we said we could conduct an experiment where we implemented some simplifications to classes, and also trimmed down some of the abilities and reworked a lot of how the inventory functions, I can imagine it working. I do think it's somewhat of a new game, isn't it?
