Diablo IV, the next game in the series, has been delayed since D2R Items an Activision Blizzard investor call. While the game did not have an an exact release date, or even release window It appears that fans will be waiting even longer now to return to Sanctuary. Players who play solo now can also partake in the metas that were famous from the original multi-player Ladder experience. Also, single players will also have an access point to Pandemonium Event and Uber Diablo content."
Blizzard writes that in order to ensure server stability at launch, the game's initial ladder season will start shortly after the game's launch, but won't be available from day one.
Diablo 2: Resurrected just ended its beta with early access, with an open beta planned to begin the 20th of August. A minor change that will be made in the open beta based on early feedback from beta testers is that the way of buying skills has been altered so that it requires separate press.
This was done to stop players from not properly assigning points to their skills, in addition to the free re-spec player earns in the game's initial Act assigning skill points can't be Diablo 2 Resurrected Ladder Items done until far later in the game and requires a lot more effort.
