Blizzard president Mike Ybarra offered his own statement WOTLK Classic Gold , declaring that the acquisition of Proletariat will allow them to "meet and exceed" player expectations.

"A critical part in taking care of our players' needs is taking care of our teams--making sure we have enough resources to make experiences that our communities will appreciate while also providing our teams the opportunity to explore more exciting possibilities within their projects," Ybarra said. "Proletariat is a great fit to support Blizzard's goal of bringing high-quality content to our players more frequently."

Proletariat shall have the possibility of being "fully integrated" within Blizzard in the coming months, Activision Blizzard said.

As part of the deal that was first revealed at VentureBeat, Proletariat will become an official Blizzard studio. In addition, its 100 developers will join the ongoing development of WoW, including the Dragonflight expansion, which is scheduled to come release this year. Proletariat's newest game, Spellbreak, is shutting down.

This is just the latest expansion of Blizzard in the same way that the veteran Activision production studio Vicarious Visions was recently folded into Blizzard to contribute to buy WOTLK Gold expanding the World of Warcraft franchise.
