A few days ago, after discovering multiple duping glitches, New World
had to shut down the in-game economy temporarily. Players can basically
create multiple extremely valuable items, such as trophies and even
in-game New World Coins. Now the economy is back, but Amazon Games has
not dealt with those who exploited this or earlier loopholes.
According
to a developer blog, terrible actors discovered an error that allows
players to copy New World Coins and resources in the game through data
packet manipulation. Similar attacks against different game systems have
also been used in the house recently. For these loopholes, they
together permanently ban over 1,200 players, remove their items from the
economy, and cancel their trading post list.
The post continues
to apologize to the vast majority of non-repeated participants who have
been affected by the downtime and massive influx of the economy. They
stated they took some time to unlock and find the items and New World
Gold, but they have permanently banned 460 additional players from
participating in the original transaction or updated housing development
activities. By doing so, they can remove 98% of the remaining cheated
items and

in the game. The remaining few deceived items result from players who
accidentally discovered the deceived problem but did not take any
exploitative actions, and will not be blocked.
Amazon Games also
investigated how deep the impact of the exploits are and believes that
advanced equipment has not “significantly increased.” The developer
stated it is still studying the list of items involved in housing
development and is preparing to use a permanent hammer in due course.
They stated they will not tolerate exploits, and punishments can and
will include permanent bans on players who use them. But players can
also
